Concert Drawing number 353! Completed July 1 while cellist, Oliver Aldort and pianist, Ron Regev played Beethoven in Preston Bradley Hall.
My first drawing with the Chicago Urban Sketchers. The Belden Stratford Hotel in Lincoln Park- home to one of my favorite restaurants, Mon Ami Gabbi.
I recently made a presentation to the preschool kids at the Chinese American Service League in Chinatown. This drawing was a demonstration to the very enthusiastic and engaged group of kids of how I work on site. Though they're a bit young, I wanted to present a simple alternative to the smart phone- using paper and a single pen- as a way of interacting and observing the environment around them. In this case, the El tracks and the city.
I wasn't actually laying on the floor but this drawing might make it look like I was. Another awesome concert today to inspire my drawing featuring Laura Usiskin on cello (my fave) and Katsura Tanikawa on piano.
Drawing done at the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park.
